Hindi muna itutuloy ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) ang pagtatag ng multi-million Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system project sa Metro Manila.
Nabunyag sa deliberasyon ng House Committee on Metro Manila Development nitong Miyerkules ang pag-atras sa pagtatayo ng BRT.
Ayon kay Quezon City Rep. Winston Castelo, chairman ng komite, inaprubahan ng Kongreso ang pondo para sa proyekto na iprinisinta ng DOTr bilang solusyon sa krisis sa trapiko sa Metro Manila. Pagdudugtungin ng BRT lines ang Quezon Avenue, EDSA, at C-5.
Gayunman, sinabi ni Department of Finance (DoF) Undersecretary Edita Tan sa isang liham noong Disyembre 7, 2017 mula kay DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade kay National Economic Development Agency (NEDA) Director-General Ernesto Pernia, binanggit na inuurong na ng DOTr ang proyekto.
