Tiniyak ng Malacañang sa gobyerno ng South Korea na hindi mapupunta sa korupsyon ang inilaan nitong $1 bilyon official development assistance (ODA) para sa infrastructure projects ng Pilipinas.

Sinabi ni Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez na hindi makukurakot ang ipinautang na pera ng South Korea sa Pilipinas at tututukan ng gobyerno ang lahat ng proyektong tutustusan nito.

“We have COA (Commission on Audit (COA) involved in the audit of these projects. And the President has taken upon himself to fire people who are suspected of corruption. In this sense, the government employees as well as the private sector will be careful in the use of government funds and funds of taxpayers of other countries,” ani Dominguez.
