Itinakda ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang 2018 Special Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) sa mga school division sa Hunyo 10—at libre ito.

Ayon kay DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones, inilabas na ang kanyang Memorandum No. 82 series of 2018 para sa lahat ng undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, bureau and service directors, regional directors, schools division superintendents, at pinuno ng mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralang elementarya at sekundarya, kung saan nakapaloob ang mga impormasyon sa implementasyong PEPT, na itinaon sa pagdaraos ng ika-120 taon ng pagdiriwang ng Araw ng Kalayaan sa Pilipinas.

“The 2018 Special PEPT will be administered by DepEd through the Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA) together with the assistance of personnel from schools division offices (SDOs) and schools. The registration for the said PEPT started last April 23. The Division Testing Coordinators (DTCs) were also directed to submit the actual number of registrants to BEA on or before May 11, 2018,” ayon kay Briones.

Ang registration process at documentary requirements ay katulad ng isinagawa sa PEPT Registration noong Pebrero, alinsunod sa DepEd Memorandum No. 34 series of 2018.

Kabilang sa mga kinakailangan ang birth certificate, ID picture na may name tag, school records, at endorsement mula sa DepEd regional office bilang karagdagang requirement.
