BALUARTE, ILOCOS SUR – Kabuuang 2,266 participants ang nakiisa sa Philippine Sports Commission-Philippine Sports Institute (PSC-PSI) Palarong Pambansa 2018 Sports Science Series kamakaila.
Umabot sa 524 kalahok ang dumalo sa Movement and Performance (Strength and Conditioning) ni Nathan Futalan, habang nakapagtala ng 474 participants sa Performance Assessment on Children (Sports Physiology) ni Maria Daniela P. Santos
Inilarga rin ang tatlong topics: Psychology of Coaching (Sports Psychology) ni Denise Ang; Sports Nutrition for Filipino Youth Athlete (Sports Nutrition) ni Ashley Villa; at First Aid in Sports ni Dr. Pilar Elena Villanueva.
Nakiisa sa seminar ang mga opisyal, coach at trainors mula sa 17 region na sumabak sa Palarong Pambansa.
Layunin ng libreng seminar na inorganisa ng PSC-PSI na mabigyan ng sapat na kaalaman ang mga sports stakeholders hingil sa sports science and sports medicine upang masiguro na maisususlong ang pagpapalawak ng grassroots sports sa bansa na priorida ng Pangulong Duterte.
“Since the Palaro chess competition was held beside the venue of the seminar, most coaches and parents of woodpushers who competed in the weeklong event have attended all five topics while the rest participated in four or less topics.”
“Palaro delegates were receptive and were very interested in every topic handled by our partner experts,” pahayag ni PSI deputy director for grassroots marlon Malbog.
