Malinis ang panalo ni Pangulong Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte sa halalan noong 2016 at hindi na kinailangan ang political data firm na Cambridge Analytica, idiniin ng Malacañang kahapon.

Pinabulaanan ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque ang mga espekulasyon na inupahan ng kampanya ng Pangulo ang foreign research company para kumuha ng voters’ information at palakasin ang kampanya sa panguluhan ni Duterte.

“The President won the election fair and square with an overwhelming mandate of over 16 million votes and a margin of over six million. Support for the former Davao city mayor was from all sectors and not just from Facebook or online; thus, the Duterte campaign did not have to purchase information,” ipinahayag ni Roque.

“The Secretary of Finance [Carlos Dominguez III], in his capacity as treasurer of the PRRD campaign, assures that he did not pay anything to Cambridge Analytica nor did he transact with them,” idinugtong niya.

Nanawagan din si Roque na irespeto ang panalo ng Pangulo sa nakaraang halalan.

Naglabas ng paglilinaw si Roque matapos maiulat na nakipagpulong si Alexander Nix, ang suspended boss ng Cambridge Analytica, sa ilang miyembro ng campaign team ni Duterte noong 2015.
