Sisilipin ni Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II ang nasa likod ng pagkakabasura ng korte sa kasong parricide na kinakaharap ni Bohol Provincial Board Member Niño Rey Boniel.
Ayon kay Aguirre, makikipagpulong siya kay Justice Undersecretary Reynante Orceo upang matalakay ang usapin.
“I’m going to meet with the Usec involved and hopefully he would be able to explain to me what happened and whether it was the correct decision. Rest assured that I will make the necessary correction if I have to,” paliwanag ng kalihim.

Matatandaang nagpalabas ng ruling si Orceo na nag-aapruba sa petisyon ni Boniel na i-review ang kaso ni Boniel na itinuturong pumatay sa asawang si Bien Unido Mayor Gisela Boniel.
Tinukoy ni Orceo na hindi nasasaklawan ng Lapu-Lapu City Regional Trial Court ang paghawak ng kaso.
“Wherefore, in view of the foregoing, the instant petition for reviews is granted and assailed Resolution dated 28 June 2017 of the Office of the City Prosecutor of Lapu- Lapu City is hereby granted and set aside,” bahagi ng resolusyon ni Orceo.
Bukod sa kaso ni Boniel, binawi na rin ang kasong murder sa umano’y mga kasabwat ni Boniel na sina Willy Hoylar at Restituto Magoncia Jr.
Idinahilan din ni Orceo ang kasong kidnapping na kinakaharap ni Boniel sa Bohol Prosecutor’s Office.
