UNITED NATIONS (AP) – Sinabi ni U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres na siya ay “proud feminist” at hinikayat ang kalalakihan na suportahan ang women’s rights at gender equality.
Umani ng palakpak ang kanyang pahayag nitong Lunes sa pagbubukas ng taunang pagpupulong ng Commission on the Status of Women, isang organisasyon na tinawag niyang “vital to end the stereotypes and discrimination that limit women’s and girls’ opportunities.”
“Discrimination against women damages communities, organizations, companies, economies and societies. That is why all men should support women’s rights and gender equality. And that is why I consider myself a proud feminist,’’ ani Guterres.
