Tatlong taon makalipas ang Mamasapano encounter at halos dalawang taon matapos kasuhan ang 88 suspek sa pagpatay sa 44 na tauhan ng Philippine National Police-Special Action Force (PNP-SAF), ay hindi pa rin nalilitis ang kaso.

Ito ay dahil nakabimbin pa ang resolusyon ng mababang korte sa mga mosyon ng ilan sa mga akusado na kumukuwestiyon sa “finding of probable cause.”

Sa inilabas na “summary of events” ni Senior Assistant State Prosecutor Roseann Balauag, hindi pa rin nadedesisyunan ng Korte Suprema ang hiling na ilipat sa Metro Manila ang lugar ng paglilitis.

Sa 40-pahinang manifestation, hiniling ni Solicitor General Jose Calida na maglabas ang Korte Suprema ng temporary restraining order (TRO) o writ of preliminary injunction para hindi matuloy ang arraignment.

Sinabi ni Calida na sa oras na matuloy ang pagbasa ng sakdal ay mawawalan na ng karapatan ang mamamayan na usigin ang tatlo sa tamang kaso.

PAGGUNITA SA ‘SAF 44’

Ginunita kahapon ng PNP ang kabayanihan at sakripisyo ng tinaguriang “SAF 44” sa SAF Headquarters sa Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.

Matatandaang idineklara ni Pangulong Duterte ang Enero 25 ng bawat taon bilang National Remembrance for the Heroic Sacrifice of the 44 PNP Special Action Force.

Si Deputy Director General Archie Francisco Gamboa, Chief of the Directorial Staff ang kumatawan kay PNP chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, bilang guest of honor at speaker.

Enero 25, 2015 nang masawi ang 44 na operatiba ng SAF nang makorner sa bakbakan sa Oplan Exodus upang arestuhin ang Malaysian terrorist na si Zulkifli Bin Hir, alyas “Marwan” sa Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
