Sinabi ni Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Spokesman Major General Restituto Padilla na nasa 120 indibiduwal na ang naaresto ng puwersa ng gobyerno kaugnay ng limang-buwang Marawi siege.
Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni Padilla na sa nasabing bilang ay nasa 60-67 katao na ang nasampahan ng kaso dahil sa pakikibahagi sa rebelyon.
Ayon kay Padilla, karamihan sa mga naaresto at mismong miyembro o kaya naman ay may direktang ugnayan sa Maute Group.

“When the Department of National Defense (DND) issued two warrants for the arrest of approximately 300 individuals, a total of 120 plus individuals have already been apprehended,” sabi ni Padilla.
‘Meron dun karamihan, member directly ng Maute family, tapos ‘yung iba, so meron pa tayo 170 or 180 at large. So ‘yun ang still subject ng hinahanap ng law enforcement agencies at tsaka ng military sa kabuuan,” dagdag ni Padilla.
“So they are still subject of search and if found and if information leads to their location then they will be arrested immediately para matukoy sila lahat. At kung hindi naman talaga sila involve doon sa rebellion, madepensahan nila ang sarili nila,” aniya.
Nang tanungin kung posible bang maging basehan ito sa pagpapalawig muli ng batas militar sa Mindanao, sinabi ni Padilla na ang katatagan ng Mindanao ang magiging pangunahing basehan sakaling irekomenda ng militar na palawigin pa ang batas militar.
Ipaiiral ang martial law sa buong Mindanao hanggang sa Disyembre 31, 2017.
“So the assessments will be made at an opportune time before the end of the duration provided for martial law on the end of the year. That recommendation will form part of the basis for which the extension or end of martial law in Mindanao will be made,” sabi ni Padilla. “It will be submitted even prior to the deadline (next month).”
