“Suu Kyi first made the request to Gordon during a dinner for the Myanmar State Counsellor and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on November 11 in Pampanga,” saad sa pahayag ng PRC.

Ayon sa PRC, nakipagpulong sina Suu Kyi at Gordon sa International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) at inatasan ng Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS) si Gordon na pamunuan ang “high-level humanitarian diplomacy mission” sa Myanmar mula Oktubre 14 hanggang 18.

“During the said mission, Gordon was also able to get recognition for the MRCS as the Myanmar Government’s partner of choice during times of disasters and other humanitarian challenges, with the society partnering with other partners,” saad ng PRC. - Jel Santos
