Umaasa ang Malacañang na hindi magpapahuli ang mga potensiyal na foreign investors sa paglago ng ekonomiya ng Pilipinas.

Ito ay matapos panatilihin ng International Monetary Fund (IMF) ang 6.6-porsiyentong growth forecast nito para sa Pilipinas ngayong taon.

Binanggit ni Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella ang mga dahilan kung bakit dapat samantalahin ng mga banyagang mamumuhunan ang paglago ng ekonomiya ng bansa.

“The Philippines is still one of the fastest-growing economies in the region, with a very attractive demographic sweet spot; growing consumer base especially middle class with greater purchasing power; market access opportunities due to several free trade agreements in ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), Japan; generalized system of preferences (GSP) trade concessions with US (United States) and EU (the European Union; and aggressive infrastructure programs,” aniya.
