NAKATAKDANG pulugin ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chariman William ‘Butch’ Ramirez ang mga opisyal nang may 140 schools, colleges, universities at athletic associations upang mailahad ang programa na magpapatibay sa pundasyon para sa estudyanteng atleta.
Isasagawa ang National Consultative Meeting for Collegiate Sports sa Philsports Multipurpose Arena sa Pasig City sa October 17-18 upang mapag-usapan at mailatag ang mga pangangailangan para sa mas epektibong pamamaraan sa pagsasagawa ng mga liga sa collegiate level.
Patuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng PSC sa Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at Department of Education (DepEd).
“Remember that no less than the President has instructed us to make sports accessible to all, to involve the youth more,” sambit ni Ramirez.
Umaasa si Ramirez na ang pulong ay magiging simula para sa mas positibong pakikipag-ugnayan at pakikipagtambalan sa mga uniberidad, colleges, athletics associations sa hinaharap.
“University sports has always played a big role in elite sports. It has been a rich ground of sports talent and we want to continue to support them,” pahayag ni Ramirez.
“PSC is very serious in strengthening grassroots sports. School sports is a pertinent component of that effort,” aniya.
