Inakusahan ni Senador JV Ejercito ang China na patay-malisya sa pagpasok ng tone-toneladang shabu sa bansa.
“I am beginning to suspect that China is turning a blind eye on this problem on purpose. It’s like the Opium War in the 18th century, where Chinese battled the illegal opium shipments to China by foreign traders, mostly British. The situation at present is quite parallel, only that some Chinese are possibly the major source and instigators of drug shipments to the Philippines,” anang Ejercito.
Giit niya, kung seryosong kaalyado ng Pilipinas ang China dapat na doon pa lamang sa kanila ay mapigilan na ang pag-alis ng shabu.
Binanggit ni Ejercito ang 605 kilo ng shabu mula Xiamen, China na nakalusot sa Bureau of Customs (BoC) nitong Mayo, at sentro ngayon ng mga imbestigasyon. - Leonel M. Abasola
