DAVAO CITY – Muling nanalasa ang Kabacan Elementary School (KES) ng Barangay 76-A Bucana para makopo ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC)-backed Kadayawan Girls Volleyball title nitong Linggo sa University of Mindanao (UM) Gym dito.

Ginapi ng KES, 2017 Davao City Children’s Game titlist, ang Tambobong Elementary School (TES), 25-12, 25-10, sa championship match, sa pangunguna ni team captain Sophia Pabilona na tinanghal na best attacker at most valuable player (MVP).

Tinuldukan ng service ace ni Pabilona ang dominanteng panalo ng KES para makamit ang titulo at maibulsa ang P10,000 championship prize sa torneo na nagtatampok sa mga kabataan na may edad 13-anyos pababa.

Naungusan naman ng Talandang Elementary School ang Vicente Hizon Sr. Elementary School, 25-22, 25-21, para sa ikatlong puwesto.

Ang iba pang individual awardee ay sina best server Princess Juanillo (KES), best digger Aiza Suazo (Tambobong), best setter Lynette Putian (KES) at second best attacker Cherrylou Tomas (Talandang Elementary School).

Pinangasiwaan ni Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Commissioner Charles Raymond A. Maxey ang pagbibigay ng mga parangal sa natatanging bata sa simpleng awarding ceremony.

“We thank you for your support, this would have not been possible if not for you. I hope that in our future programs here you will still continue to support us,” pahayag ni Maxey.
