Hinihikayat ang mga naghahanap ng trabaho na mag-apply sa Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa pagbubukas nito ng 150 posisyon.

Maaaring mag-apply ang sinuman na naabot ang kwalipikasyon, ayon sa Bureau.

Sinabi ni Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon na hindi kailangan ang “external recommendations” at hindi ito dapat kabilang sa mga isusumiteng dokumento.

Kapag pinalad na makuha, pupunan ng mga aplikante ang mga bakanteng posisyon sa lahat ng daungan sa ilalim ng BOC gaya ng Accountants I at II, administrative officers, computer maintenance technologists, customs operation officers, intelligence officers, at special investigators.

Ang mga inisyal na posisyong bubuksan ay tutulong sa pagpapatupad ng customs laws, rules, at regulations ng Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

“We need to take advantage of the more than 50% unfilled vacancies. We will beef up our team with 3,000 more employees this year and an additional 4,000 once the proposed executive order for restructuring is signed,” ani Faeldon.

“I encourage all applicants who meet the minimum requirements for vacant positions to apply until August 11 this year because the BOC needs you,” dugtong ng commissioner.

Sinabi Faeldon naghahanap ang bureau ng “personnel who are skilled, educated and with integrity.”

Sa ilalim ng customs memorandum, ang lahat ng aplikante ay kailangang magsumite ng mga hinihinging dokumento sa Human Resource Management Division (HRMD).

Maaari lamang magsumite ang aplikante para sa isang posisyon.

Ang mga nagsumite ng kanilang aplikasyon noong 2016 ay kailangan na muling magsumite ng mga hinihinging dokumento, ayon kay HRMD Acting Director Joseph Escasio.

Ang matagumpay na aplikante ang bubuo sa unang grupo ng mga empleyado na sasailalim sa anim na buwang pagsasanay sa Philippine Customs Academy. Kabilang sa training ang character building, capacity at capability development.

Ang mga empleyado na sasailalim sa pagsasanay ay tatanggap ng suweldo.

“Those who finished the training shall be guaranteed of plantilla positions, and are expected to develop a deeper sense of patriotism, excellence, non-violence, safety, integrity, and leadership,” anang Faeldon.
