Sa kanyang pakikiisa sa Filipino Muslim Community sa pagdiriwang ng Eid'l Fitr ngayong araw, hinikayat ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga Pilipino na ituon ang kanilang lakas sa pagpapalaganap ng kapayapaan sa bansa.

Sa kanyang mensahe, hinikayat din ni Duterte ang publiko na magtulung-tulong para sa isang lipunan na binubuklod ng pagmamahalan, respetuhan, at pag-uunawaan.

“On this special day, remember to thank Allah for bestowing upon you the resolve, courage, and fortitude to obey His commandments during the blessed month of Ramadhan,” sinabi ni Duterte sa mga Filipino Muslim.

“May this renewed sense of spiritual accomplishment give you the strength and courage to cultivate our communities,” aniya. “In times when all odds seem stacked against us, it is our willpower and faith that will always see us through.”

“Let us channel our energies towards fostering national unity--because dedicating our lives to the betterment of humanity is the best way to demonstrate our devotion to God,” patuloy ni Duterte.

HUMANITARIAN PAUSE

Para sa pagdiriwang ng Eid’l Fitr, pinuri ng Malacañang ang walong oras na humanitarian pause sa military operations ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa Marawi City.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella, bibigyang-diin sa humanitarian ceasefire ang pakikiisa ng militar at ng gobyerno sa mga Muslim sa pagdiriwang ng pagtatapos ng Ramadan.

“It is a sincere gesture which shows respect to the Muslim faith and acknowledges our cultural diversity of our society,” ani Abella.

Sinabi ni AFP’s Joint Task Force (JTF) Marawi spokesperson Lt. Col. Jo-ar Herrera, ito ay pagbibigay respeto para sa isang mapayapa at masayang selebrasyon ng Eid’l Fitr.

“The AFP intends to declare a stop in our current operations in the city on that day to serve as a gesture of our strong commitment and respect to the Muslim world particularly to the local Muslims of Marawi City.”

PAGLAGDA SA BBL

Bukod sa unang araw ng Islamic Month of Shawwal, sa araw din ng Eid’l Fitr nakatakdang pirmahan ng Pangulo ang draft ng Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) sa pagnanais na maresolba ang problema sa Mindanao.

“The BBL tapos na (is finished). And the MI (Moro Islamic Liberation Front) will give it to me, I will sign it doon sa (on) Eid’l Fitr,” sambit ni Duterte sa isang panayam sa Cagayan de Oro City kanmakailan.
