Ito ang kinumpirma kahapon ni National Food Authority (NFA) Administrator Jason Laureano Aquino sa naging resulta ng pagsusuri ng ahensiya sa mga sample ng sinasabing fake rice.
"A total of six raw rice samples were subjected to analyses. The result of the samples are totoong rice," diin niya.

Aniya, agad silang nagsagawa ng laboratory examinations sa mga sample ng bigas na pinaghihinalaang peke nang pumutok ang isyu.
Ayon kay James Magbanua, national president ng Grains retailers Confederation of the Philippines (GRECON), walang nadidiskubreng pekeng bigas simula noong 2015 hanggang sa kasalukuyan.
Sinabi ni Magbanua na walang dahilan ang rice producers at retailers para magbenta ng pekeng bigas dahil "it is costlier to produce fake rice by putting plastic additives."
"We have also sought the rice retailers to assure the public that there is no fake rice in the country," aniya.
