“I don’t have to work. I work because it’s still my passion, it’s the way in which I express myself,” aniya sa news conference matapos ang screening ng The Killing of a Sacred Deer, isa sa dalawang pelikula ni Nicole na lumalaban para sa Palme d’Or.
Sinabi ni Nicole -- na ang iba pang Cannes offerings ay ang science fiction teenage film na How to Talk to Girls at Parties, isang episode ng TV series ni Jane Campion na Top of the Lake at The Beguiled ni Sofia Coppola -- na naghahanap siya ng kakaibang mga proyekto.
“I want to support people who are trying different things or have a very, very unique filmmaking style,” aniya.
“I love to be asked to be in those things because that’s just where I am,” ani Nicole. “I have always had that slightly rebel spirit where I have gone: ‘I don’t want to conform, I want to find a way not to.’ And that’s just who I am.”
Tatakbo ang Cannes Film Festival hanggang sa Linggo. (Reuters)
