Ipinakita ni Balmes ang Department Order (DO) No. 120 na ipinalabas ni Aguirre noong Pebrero 20 na inaatasan ang “authority to conduct investigation of reported killings allegedly related to the campaign against illegal drugs.”

Sa DO, direktang inutusan ni Aguirre ang NBI “[to] conduct a thorough investigation of reported killings related to the campaign against illegal drugs except those cases covered by Administrative Order No. 35 dated November 12, 2012 and Administrative Order No. 01 dated October 11, 2016.”

Inatasan din ni Aguirre ang NBI “to submit a periodic inventory with status report of all cases related to the foregoing.”

(Jeffrey G. Damicog)
