INILABAS na ng 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival executive committee ang deadlines at rules ng annual filmfest para sa taong ito.

Ayon kay Noel Ferrer ng MMFF execom, inaanyayahan nila ang filmmakers at producers para makibahagi sa pista ng pelikulang Pilipino na ginaganap taun-taon tuwing Kapaskuhan.

Tinitiyak ng MMFF na magiging balanse na ang artistic at audience appeal na hinahanap ng komiteng bumubuo ng MMFF.

“After months of thorough and careful evaluation and deliberations, including dialogues with the different industry stakeholders, the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival executive committee is now starting the call for applicants for the much-anticipated annual film festival,” simula ng kanilang statement.

“Based on the stated objectives of the 2017 MMFF to pursue both artistic excellence and audience appeal that can equate to more benefits to its target industry beneficiaries, it has been resolved that there will be two ways of entering this year’s MMFF for full-length feature.”

Narito ang deadlines at requirements na kailangan para sa 2017 MMFF :

1. SCRIPT SUBMISSION. 12 copies of the script plus a duly accomplished application form and complete requirements should be submitted to the MMFF Secretariat on or before 5pm of June 15 at the MMFF Secretariat Office, 3rdFloor MMDA Auditorium Bldg., Orense St., EDSA Corner Guadalupe Nuevo, Makati City. Application fee is Php 30k.

Out of all the submitted scripts, 4 official entries shall be selected. Announcement of which will be on June 30, 2017.

2. FINISHED FILMS. The finished film plus the duly accomplished application form and complete requirments can be submitted to the MMFF Secretariat until October 2 for early birds with only P 30k application fee; and the regular finished film submissions will be until October 30 with a fee of P50k.

The remaining 4 slots as official entries shall be selected from the all submitted finished films to complete the eight (8) official entries of the 2017 MMFF. Announcement for the remaining 4 will be on November 17.

The deadline for the Short Film category, on the other hand, will be on September 1. Annoucement for the eight (8) official Short Film entries is on September 29.

In order to facilitate schedules for screening and for monitoring purposes, the letters of intent of filmmakers and producers for joining this year’s MMFF should be given to the MMFF Secretariat on or before 5 PM of May 10.
