MONACO (AP) — Isang panalo para sa ika-11 kampeonato.

Lumapit si defending champion Rafael Nadal sa minimithing kasaysayan nang gapiin si David Goffin 6-3, 6-1, para makausad sa finals ng Monte Carlo Masters nitong Sabado (Linggo sa Manila).

Makakaharap ni Nadal, 10-time champion dito, si 15th-seeded Albert Ramos-Vinolas sa all-Spanish final. Nagwagi si Ramos kay Lucas Pouille ng France 6-3, 5-7, 6-1.

“I know that I had to defend almost all my points at this beginning of the season,” pahayag ni Nadal. “Having all these great results I am having allows me to still have the position in the top eight of the rankings.”
