DOHA, Qatar – Interesado ang ilang negosyanteng Qatari na magbuhos ng investments sa Pilipinas makaraang humanga ang mga ito sa friendly business climate at matatag na pulitika ng bansa sa ilalim ng pamunuan ni Pangulong Duterte.
Ang interes ng mga dayuhang mamumuhunan sa bansa ay sa harap ng mga plano ng Pilipinas at Qatar na magkaroon ng kasunduan sa pagsusulong ng mga kalakalan at pamumuhunan sa pagbisita ng Pangulo sa bansa kahapon.
Bumisita si Duterte sa Doha para sa bilateral talks kay Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, at humimok ng mas maraming mamumuhunan nang makipagpulong ang Pangulo sa Qatari business community.
“We are looking forward to the signing of a bilateral agreement on the promotion and protection of investments. If inked during the visit of the President, it is expected to open a lot of investments in the Philippines because the Qatar government wants to diversify their investment to other places,” sinabi ni Philippine Ambassador Alan Timbayan.
Magpinsang paslit nagkayayaang maligo sa lawa, nalunod
“They are looking to the Philippines as a good place where to place their investment.”
Nauna rito, sinabi ni Timbayan na naging positibo ang investment roadshow ni Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director General Charito Plaza sa Doha noong Pebrero.
Aniya, si Plaza “received pledges of investments in the Philippines from various individuals and companies interested in doing business in the Philippines.” (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
