“The flood control project, which costs P87.69 million, involves the construction of reinforced concrete box culvert that increased the capacity of Anaran Creek for effective mitigation of perennial flooding at South Triangle area particularly at Mother Ignacia Avenue and Panay Avenue,” pahayag ni DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.
“The old open channel of 2.40 meters width by 4.30 meters deep from Timog Avenue to Scout Borromeo Street was replaced by a reinforced concrete box culvert 5.30 meters width by 4.35 meters deep,” dagdag pa ng kalihim.
“With the completion of Timog Avenue to Scout Borromeo Street segment, DPWH will continue to step-up and take advantage of the good weather in completing similar activities at the 583 lineal meters ongoing segment from after Scout Borromeo Street to near Sgt. Esguerra Street”, ani Villar. (Mina Navarro)
