SEOUL (AFP) – Humiling ang South Korean prosecutor ng arrest warrant kahapon para sa pinatalsik na si President Park Geun-Hye ilang araw matapos siyang isalang sa pagtatanong kaugnay sa diumano’y katiwalian at pang-aabuso sa kapangyarihan.

‘’The accused abused her enormous power and status as president to receive bribes from companies or to infringe upon the rights to freedom of corporate management and leaked important confidential information on state affairs. These are grave issues,’’ saad sa pahayag ng mga prosecutor.

‘’A large amount of evidence has been collected so far but the accused is denying most of the charges, and there is a risk of destroying evidence in the future,’’ saad dito.

Kapag inaprubahan ng Seoul Central District Court ang warrant, si Park, 65, ang magiging pangatlong naging lider ng bansa na inaresto kaugnay sa katiwalian. Ang dalawang dating lider na namuno noong 1980s at 1990s – sina Chun Doo-Hwan at Roh Tae-Woo – ay kapwa nakulong sa mga kasong kinabibilangan ng bribery matapos magretiro.
