Nagbanta si Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III na kakasuhan ang mga airline company kapag hindi kaagad itinigil ang pangongolekta ng travel tax at terminal fee sa mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW).

“The continuous collection of travel tax and terminal fees from OFWs is not correct because the law exempting them took effect three years ago,” pahayag ni Bello.

Ito ang reaksiyon ito ng kalihim sa ulat ng mga kumpanya ng eroplano na ititigil lamang nila ang pangongolekta ng mga bayarin simula sa Abril 30.

“(We) will confer with the Office of the Solicitor General to come up with the legal action to stop it immediately.
