Vilma Santos, Sen. Grace Poe at bagong upong Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) na si Chairperson Rachel Arenas.
Ang post ni Direk Quark sa kanyang Facebook account, “Well, this is depressing. Christmastime on my Facebook feed really felt like Christmas for movie fans like me. People were finally talking about plots and characters instead of stars and love teams. I saw heartfelt reviews on my feed, substantial arguments, impassioned recommendations.
“The Metro Manila Film Festival, after a literal lifetime of being a joke, felt like a victory. It had nothing to do with the always annoying indie vs. mainstream argument and everything to do with Philippine film vs. itself.
“Moira Lang and Edward Cabagnot are not pro-indie. They are pro-Cinema. Thank you for never giving up, and for the best MMFF in history. We will always remember that one great year we got excited about going to the movies.”
(Reggee Bonoan)
