Ibinaba ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang edad ng mga estudyante na tatanggapin sa summer job ngayong taon upang mabigyan ng oportunidad ang mga nasa Senior High School (SHS).
Mula sa 18-taon gulang ay ibinaba sa 15-anyos ang minimum age requirement para sa Special Program for the Employment of Students ng DepEd.
“Under this year’s Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES), we are allowing students aged 15 years old and above to join the program. Previously, they must be at least 18 years old,” saad ni Dr. Juan Araojo, Officer-in-Charge ng Youth Formation Division (YFD).
“This is to accommodate those students who are in Senior High School,” diin niya.

Magtatrabaho ang mga SPES trainee sa loob ng 40-araw, sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng YFD.
Sa memorandum ng DepEd, ang mga interesadong estudyante ay maaari nang mag-apply simula ngayon hanggang sa Marso 27.
Isumite ang application form at mga requirement sa Office of the Youth Formation Division, sa 3rd Floor, Mabini Building, DepEd Central Office, Meralco Avenue sa Pasig City. Maaari rin itong i-scan at i-email sa [email protected], gamit ang zip file na SPES2017. (Mary Ann Santiago)
