Sinabi ng Sandiganbayan na mahina ang ebidensiya ng prosekusyon kaya naabsuwelto si Senator Jose Victor “JV” Ejercito sa pagbili ng P2.1 milyong baril bilang alkalde ng San Juan City noong 2008.
Ibinasura ng 5th Division ng anti-graft court ang motion for reconsideration na isinampa ng prosekusyon na kumokontra sa pagbasura ng korte sa kasong katiwalian laban sa senador.
“The motion for reconsideration filed by the Ombudsman’s Office of the Special Prosecutor failed to address the crux behind the granting of the demurrers to evidence of the accused,” paliwanag ng korte. (Rommel P.Tabbad)
