GUMUGULONG na ang proseso sa Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) upang maresolba ang hidwaan sa legal na pamumuno sa pagitan ng Philippine Volleyball Federation at Larong Volleyball Sa Pilipinas, Inc., matapos hingan ang magkabilang panig ng kanilang posisyon hingil sa kanilang pamamahala sa volleyball sa bansa.
Sa sulat na may petsang Pebrero 16, 2017 at pirmado ni Mr. Jaime A. Lamboy Riley, Chairperson of the Ad-Hoc Commission for the Philippines, ipinag-utos ng special committee kina PVF President Edgardo ‘Tito Boy’ Cantada at LVPI chief Jose ‘Joey’ Romasanta na magsumite ng kani-kanilang posisyon sa isyu at dokumento ng kanilang legalidad.
Nakatakda ang deadline sa Marso 13, 2017.

“On 23 January 2017, the Ad-Hoc Commission of the Philippines held its first meeting in order to organize how the proceedings before the Ad-Hoc Commission will be conducted. To that effect, the Ad-Hoc Commission has decided to request the following information from the parties”,”nakasaad sa sulat ng FIVB.
“The Parties respective positions as well as any supporting documentation that the Parties would like the Ad-Hoc Commission to consider and In particular, the Ad-Hoc Commission would like to know as part of the Parties submissions whether or not any legal proceedings currently exit, and if so, the current status of legal proceedings between the Philippine Volleyball Federation, the Larong Volleyball Sa Pilipinas Inc., and the Philippine Olympic Committee.”
Matatandaang inihain ng PVF ang isyu sa liderato ng LVPI at POC sa isinagawang FIVB Congress nitong Nobyembre sa Buenos Aires, Argentina. Kinatigan ng FIVB ang argumento ng PVF at agad na ipinag-utos ang masusing imbestigasyon.
Nitong Disyembre 8, 2016, binuo ng FIVB Congress ang Ad-Hoc Commission to the Philippines upang magsagawa ng imbestigasyon hingil sa kaganapan ng volleyball sa bansa. Ang naturang special committee ay inatasan ding magsumite ng kanilang rekomendasyon sa FIVB Board of Administration.
“Change is coming in Philippine sports and the PVF fervently prays that it’s for the better. Let truth and justice prevail in this case,” pahayag ni Cantada.
“Kailangan ilagay sa tama. Walang puwang ang pagmamalabis sa puwesto at pagmamanipula sa proseso at pang-aapi sa kapwa sa Philippine sports.”
Iginiit ni Cantada na tinalikdan ng Philippine Olympic Committee ang proseso na nakasaad sa by-laws and constitution nang alisin nila bilang miyembro ng Olympic body ang PVF sa kabila ng kawalan ng desisyon ng General Assembly at palitan ng LVPI na pinamumunuan “ni (Romasanta) na inatasan ng POC na ayusin ang internal na problema ng PVF’.
