SMART ID ng PSI, ilulunsad sa DavNor-Balita

TAGUM CITY, DAVAO DEL NORTE – Ilulunsad ng Philippine Sports Institute (PSI) ang Sports Mapping Action Research Talent Identification (Smart ID) and Train the Trainers Program ngayon sa Gov. Rodolfo del Rosario Gymnasium sa Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex dito.

Pangangasiwaan nina PSI national training director Marc Edward Velasco at PSI national deputy training director and grassroots development program head Henry Daut ang tatlong araw na programa para sa mga estudyante, out-of-school youth at indigenous children sa Davao at karatig lalawigan.

Kasama rin si Sports Mapping Action Research for Talent Technical Experts and Manpower (Smart Team) chief Joy Reyes.

Ayon kay Daut, ang Smart Team ay binubuo ng sports science specialists na silang mangangasiwa sa Smart ID testing – ang sentro ng programa ng PSI sa national grassroots talent identification.

“We are using Davao Region as kick-off point for the train the trainers program of the Smart ID. We will conduct a pilot testing for volunteer in the secondary and elementary schools in Tagum City. Participants will be trained how to conduct the testing as specified in the manual,” sambit ni Daut.

Ang makukuhang resulta ang gagamitin ng PSI para ma-identify ang mga potential na talento.

Iginiit ni Velasco na ang Smart ID ay nakasentro sa paghahanap ng talent at hindi para itaaas ang kalidad ng mga dati ng atleta na sumasabak sa collegiate league kung kaya’t bukas ito sa lahat ng kabataan.

“We want every Filipino child be given the opportunity to be identified for sports excellence,” pahayag ni Velasco.

Aniya, ang mga pagkukulang sa programa bilang pilot testing ng programa ay magagawan ng karampatang aksiyon sa paglulunsad ng Smart ID sa Visayas (Marso 13-15) at South Luzon (Abril 9-11), at North Luzon (Mayo 7-9).

Ang mangingibabaw na limang atleta sa programa ay itataas sa Smart Kids in Developmental Sports (Kids) program. Ang mga kakikitaan ng potensyal ay target na isali sa Smart Pool (Providing Opportunities of Optimal Learning) program.
