Nirerepaso ng House Committee on Food and Agriculture ang 61-anyos na Republic Act 1555 (“Livestock and Poultry Feeds Act of 1956”) upang higit na mapahusay ang industriya ng paghahayupan sa bansa.
Ang panukalang isamoderno ang RA 1555 ang nilalaman ng House Bill 3355 (“Animal Feeds Act of 2016”), na inakda ni Deputy Speaker at AAMBIS-OWA Party-list Rep. Sharon Garin.
“The bill aims to regulate and control the manufacture, importation, exportation, labeling, advertising, distribution and sale of animal feeds,” sabi ni Garin. (Bert de Guzman)
