Ito ang good news na inihayag ng Department of Homeland Security ng United States sa pamamagitan ni spokeswoman Gillian Christiensen, na ipinaabot sa Migrant Heritage Commission (MHC), isang non-profit na pinatatakbo ng Filipino immigrants sa United States, ayon sa manunulat na si Ben Cal kahapon.
“Please help us disseminate this information to our kababayan (citizens) Green Card holders in the U.S.A.,” sabi ng MHC sa e-mail na nilagdaan ni MHC Executive Directors Rev. Arnedo S Valera, Jesse A. Gatchalian, at Grace Divina Valera, MHC directors.

Samantala, hindi inaalis ng administrasyon ni President Donald Trump na madadagdagan pa ang listahan ng mga bansa na ang mamamayan ay pagbabawalang makapasok sa United States, sinabi ni White House spokesperson Sean Spicer sa press briefing nitong Lunes.
Nilagdaan ni Trump noong Biyernes ang executive order na nagbabawal sa pagpasok sa US ng mga mamamayan mula Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria at Yemen ng 90 araw, sa refugees ng 120 araw at pansamantala sa lahat ng Syrian refugees.
“It is a 90-day review period and if you got other countries, please, let us know,” ani Spicer. “There is, obviously, the steps we can and should be taking. The President [Trump] is going to continue to do what he can to make sure this country is as safe as possible.”

Kasabay nito, sinibak ni Trump ang pinakamataas na abogado ng federal government na si acting Attorney General Sally Yates nang suwayin nito ang White House at sinabing hindi idedepensa ng Justice Department ang bagong travel restrictions ng administrasyon dahil salungat ito sa “solemn obligation” ng institusyon “to always seek justice and stand for what is right.”
Kasunod nito, pinalitan ni Trump ang acting head ng US Immigration and Customs Enforcement na si Daniel Ragsdale, nang hindi nagbibigay ng dahilan.

Hindi na rin nakatiis si Barack Obama at nagsalita sa unang pagkakataon simula nang bumaba sa puwesto.
