ILANG oras makaraang koronahan bilang Miss Universe 2016, pinasalamatan ni Iris Mittenaere ng France ang dating Miss Universe na si Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach na inilarawan niya bilang “amazing woman.”

“This moment... thank you @piawurtzbach. You are an amazing woman... thank you for everything,” saad ni Iris sa kanyang post sa Instagram.

Inihayag ni Pia na excited na siya para sa reign ng French beauty queen.

“From the Philippines to France! Congratulations @missuniverse @irismittenaeremf You are the Queen! I’m so excited for your reign as Miss Universe!” saad ng German-Filipino beauty queen.

Ang unang post ni Irish sa Instagram bilang Miss Universe: “Waaaaou ! I’m dreaming... thank you @conradmanila thank you Manila thank you France. I love you all !!! Thank you thank you thank you !!”

Nag-upload din siya ng larawan ng kanyang korona at sash na kuha sa kanyang hotel room.

Inaasahang magtutungo agad si Iris sa New York, doon siya maninirahan sa loob ng kanyang reign.

Nagpahayag din ang first runner-up na si Raquel Pellisier ng Haiti ng kanyang suporta sa bagong Miss Universe.

“And to my beloved Iris, I am sure you will be a great miss universe. I believe in you,” ani Raquel sa Instagram.

Nagpasalamat naman ang second runner-up na si Andrea Tovar ng Colombia sa kanyang mga tagahanga.

“Thanks to all those who dreamed WITH ME. Graciassssssss thousand and a thousand thanks for your support for your love !!! @missuniverse,” ani Tovar sa social media.

Ipinaliwanag naman ni Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres ng Puerto Rico ang desisyon ng judges.

“In the end, personality had a whole lot to do with it,” saad ni Torres sa ABS-CBN News.

Nang tanungin kung bakit hindi nakapasok sa Top 13 ang mga popular na kandidata tulad ni Miss Venezuela Mariam Habach, ani Dayanara: “See people need to understand that what you may see on television may be something beautiful.

‘How come this one didn’t make it?’ But we know them in a more personal way.’”

Pinasalamatan ni Mariam ang mga Pilipino sa pagsuporta sa kanya.

“An experience I will never forget, I love the Filipinos thanks for their love so much support was indispensable for my participation! VENEZUELA MY BELOVED LAND, thanks for letting me leave your name very high, work both make you feel proud, the result was not what was expected, given the best of my leave my soul and life during those 20 days!”

Nanawagan naman si Miss Philippines Maxine Media sa mga Pilipino na mag-move on na pagkatapos ng beauty pageant.

“Let’s move on. It’s already done,” ani Medina, na isa sa mga Top 6 finalists sa prestihiyosong beauty contest.
