18 patay sa baha sa Visayas, Mindanao

Inihayag kahapon ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) na nakatanggap ito ng unconfirmed reports na aabot na sa 18 katao ang nasawi dahil sa pagbaha at pag-uulan na dulot ng low pressure area (LPA) at tail end of the cold front (TECF) sa Visayas at Mindanao.

Sa isang panayam, sinabi ni NDRRMC Spokesperson Mina Marasigan na ang 18 nasawi ay mula sa Zamboanga del Norte, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental; Cagayan de Oro City, Bukidnon, Cebu; at Misamis Occidental.

Siyam sa mga ito ay mula sa Zamboanga del Norte, tatlo sa Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental; tatlo sa Cagayan de Oro City, at tig-isa sa Bukidnon, Cebu, at Misamis Occidental.

“Currently, what we are saying and were not confirming this yet because we have yet to received a verified report from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ... but what we can confirm is that we have received reports of 18 fatalities,” ani Marasigan. (Francis T. Wakefield)
