Nanalangin ang mga lider ng Simbahang Katolika na manaig pa rin ang pag-ibig at pagmamahalan sa sambayanang Pilipino sa gitna ng pagkakahati ng bayan sa biglaan at palihim na paglilibing kay dating pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Sr. sa Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Ayon kay Balanga Bishop Ruperto Santos, chairman ng Episcopal Commission on Health Care, ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), ipinagdarasal niya na maghari ang Diyos sa puso ng bawat Pilipino upang mapawi ang silakbo ng emosyon at maiwasan ang paghihiganti sa kapwa.

“Oh my Jesus, our Lord and King. You are our hope. Please help us from this moment of division and confusion. Heal us from hurts and make us whole again. Rule our hearts, and pacify our emotions. Hold our hands, and spare us from hurting one another with deeds and words. Reign over us, and lead us to renounce violence,” anang Obispo, sa panayam Radio Veritas.
