UMAPAW ang Smart Araneta Coliseum sa finals ng 5th year ASOP (A Song of Praise) singing competition noong Nobyembre 7, na nilahukan ng 11 orihinal na mga komposisyon.

Ang awiting Kumapit Ka Lang na likha ni Noemi Ocio at in-interpret ni Mela ang nanalong Best Song of ASOP.

First runner-up naman ang God Will Always Make A Way nina Glen Bawa at Ronald Calpis na inawit ni Bugoy Drilon.

Second runner-up ang Araw at Ulan ni Joselito Caleon at kinanta ni Sitti.

Tabla naman sa 3rd runners-up ang You Stood By Me ni Vincent Labating na in-interpret ni Jason Fernandez at ang Mula Sa Aking Puso ni Joseph Ponce at in-interpret ni Carlo David.

Best Interpreters sina Jason Fernandez (na kumanta ng You Stood By Me) at Bugoy Drilon (na umawit ng God Will Always Make A Way).

Ang awiting Ikaw Lamang na komposisyon ni Jonathan Sta. Maria at in-interpret ni Tim Pavino ang ginawaran ng People’s Choice Award.

Pinangunahan ng veteran actress, singer at Philippine cinema’s superstar na si Nora Aunor ang mga hurado nang gabing iyon kasama sina Mon del Rosario, veteran songwriter at ASOP resident judge; Jed Madela; Standard Today Lifestyle and Entertainment Editor Isah Red; Record Label Executive Jonathan Manalo; at multi-awarded songwriter Trina Belamide.

Ang ASOP Music Festival ay songwriting competition sa telebisyon na brain child ng bantog na broadcast journalist at UNTV-BMPI’s CEO at Chairman na si Kuya Daniel Razon sa tulong ni Bro. Eli Soriano, ang host ng longest running religious program na Ang Dating Daan, at ng members Church of God International (MCGI) na siyang primary sponsors ng programa.
