Nangako si Pangulong Duterte na pananatilihin ang friendly relations sa United States sa ilalim ni President-elect Donald Trump, at sinabing pareho sila ng hangaring magsilbi sa bayan.
“We are friends with (the United States), an ally,” sabi ng Pangulo.
Bilang ng mga Gen Z voters malaking porsyento nga ba sa eleksyon?
“We will maintain our cooperation… The respect should be there and in all matters that would affect our two countries, especially the treaties that we signed, with them, in the so many agreements. It will be honored, all of these things,” dagdag niya.
Binati ni Duterte si Trump sa panalo nito. Gayunman, isinantabi ang pagkukumpara sa kanila.
“I am just a President struggling to barely (keeping head) just above the water,” ani Duterte. “But what we share in common, maybe, is the passion to serve and it is a given,” dagdag niya. (Genalyn D. Kabiling)
