Ipinaabot kahapon ni Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr. ang pasasalamat ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas sa United Nations sa pakikisimpatya at pakikiisa nito sa pandaigdigang komunidad sa pagkondena sa pagpasabog sa Davao City.
Kinondena ng mga kasapi ng UN Security Council ang karumal-dumal at karuwagang pag-atake ng mga terorista sa Davao City noong Setyembre 2 na ikinamatay ng 14 katao at ikinasugat ng71 iba pa.
“The UN statement reaffirmed that terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security and underlined the need to bring perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of terrorism to justice,” saad sa kalatas ng DFA.
