“The narco-terrorism angle is still there, we are not discounting that totally,” ayon kay PNP Chief, Director General Ronald Dela Rosa.

“If the Abu Sayyaf can kidnap people for money, they can also bomb people for money,” ani Dela Rosa. “So if I were a rich drug lord, I could pay the Abu Sayyaf to conduct bombings. They don’t have to kidnap people, they have just have to bomb because after all, they are terrorists,” dagdag pa nito.

“It is more than inappropriate to characterize in the same breath the extremist terrorist attack in Davao City also as an act of ‘narco-terrorism’, or worse, as having been funded by the political opposition – the first as advanced by the PNP chief, and the second by a well-known ideologue of the Duterte administration – without any verification or validation,” ani De Lima.

“There are some people who are saying that this could be a prelude to Martial Law, we will not do that, so don’t be scared,” ani Dela Rosa.

“Nasasaktan na nga ang mga tao, we are still grieving, we are still in pain yet there are some who are insinuating Martial Law.

“The President may have talked to discuss with Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Panelo regarding the drafting but to insinuate that there was preparation for a proclamation specifically for this, that’s just a conspiracy theory,” pahayag nito. (Genalyn Kabiling, Aaron Recuenco, at Leonel Abasola)
