“We will set-up a task force in coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Department of Interior and Local Government,” sabi ni Mitra. “As much as possible, we want to reactivate the Anti-Gambling Unit this week to start the operation and immediately track down those facilities operating illegally.”

Goodbye PBA? John Amores, tinanggalan na ng professional license!

“Yes, I personally received a directive from the President, however, we want to discuss this issue deeply kapag hindi na siya busy with the ongoing campaign on drugs at kapag kumpleto na rin ang ahensiya with the commissioners.

“The directive is clear, ihinto ang online gambling, reason why naisara ang ilang internet sites like Philweb, but the problem right now is that GAB is indirectly responsible with licensing. It is the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) because of the casino.”

“Most of these Casino’s have permits either from the Cagayan Procession Zone and the Aurora Processing Zone. Also, he wants to stop also the online cockfighting. Since 2011 kasi ay walang kita ang gobyerno from this online gaming,” aniya. (Angie Oredo)
