Posibleng dumalo si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa libing ni dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos sa Libingan ng mga Bayani.
“If I am in good health and when there is no pressing matter to attend to, I might,” ani Duterte sa isang press conference sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) noong Miyerkules ng gabi.
Gayunpaman, tiniyak din ng Pangulo na anuman ang magiging desisyon ng Supreme Court (SC) hinggil sa petisyon na naglalayong harangan ang paglibing sa dating Pangulo sa Libingan ng mga Bayani, irerespeto umano niya ito.

“I will follow what the highest court of the land will order, the rule of law,” ayon kay Duterte.
Sinabi ni Duterte na payag lang naman siyang malibing sa nasabing lugar ang dating Pangulo dahil ito umano ang sinasaad ng batas.
“I would just like to emphasize to everybody (that) I allowed the burial of Marcos because it is the law. He was a soldier. They say that he was not a hero, fine. I admit it. But ... even if he just fired one shot against the Japanese as a soldier (during World War II), he is qualified. He is not a hero, fine. But he was a president and nobody can deny that,” ayon sa Pangulo. (Elena L. Aben)
