Kung criteria ang pagbabasehan, pwede sa Libingan ng mga Bayani si dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos.

Ito ang binigyang diin ni Department of National Defense (DND) Public Affairs Service Director Arsenio Andolong sa isang press conference, kung saan hindi na umano kuwestiyon pa kung hindi sundalo at hindi war hero ang dating strongman.

“Very clear ‘yung ano eh, AFP regulations regarding that (burial). I think we have given them a copy of the regulations, that there are certain criteria that has to be satisfied and I believed based on these regulations, qualified naman siya,” ani Andolong.

Ilan sa criteria ay naging Pangulo ng bansa si Marcos, naging Defense secretary at war veteran.

Kahapon din, binatikos ng ex-political detainees si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa nasabing desisyon.

Ayon sa Samahan ng mga Ex-Detainees Laban sa Detensyon at Aresto (SELDA), insulto umano sa mga lumaban sa diktadurya ang pagpapalibing kay Marcos sa nasabing lugar.

Instead of rendering a component of justice through indemnification, a hero’s burial for Marcos will dishonor the victims by kowtowing to the whims and caprices of the Marcos family to bury a murderer and plunderer with honors,’’ ayon sa SELDA.
