Hinubaran na ng maskara ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga judge, kongresista, mayor, vice mayor at mga opisyal ng pulisya na sangkot umano sa illegal drug trade, kung saan binigyan sila ng 24-oras ng Pangulo upang sumuko, kundi buong bayan umano ang hahanting sa kanila.

Sa kanyang press conference sa Davao City, pinangalanan ng Pangulo ang mga sangkot sa droga, kasabay ng kautusang pawalan ng bisa ang permit ng kanilang mga armas, pabalikin sa mother unit ang mga eskort na pulis at militar, at alisin ang bisa ng gun permit ng mga eskort.

Ang mga pinangalanang judges ay pinagre-report sa Supreme Court (SC), ang mga lokal na opisyal ng pamahalaan ay pinagre-report sa Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), ang mga pulis ay sa Philippine National Police (PNP) at ang militar naman ay sa pamunuan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines.

“Harapin nila at patunayan, kung pilit silang tumatanggi na sangkot sa ilegal na droga,” ayon kay Pangulong Duterte, kung saan 24-oras lang ang ibinibigay nito sa mga nabanggit upang lumutang at magpa-imbestiga.

Kapag nabigong sumurender, sinabi ng Pangulo na uumpisahan agad ang paghanting sa mga pangalang nasa listahan.

Inako rin ng Pangulo ang responsabilidad sa pagbubunyag sa mga pangalan. “10 angels of God swearing I was right would make no difference. If I am wrong, I will accept the consequences,” ayon sa Pangulo.
