Inobliga ni Chief Supt. Ronaldo “Bato” dela Rosa ang mga police regional commander na bawasan ng hindi bababa sa 50 porsiyento ang problema ng ilegal na droga sa kanilang nasasakupan sa susunod na tatlong buwan.

“The target given to the regional commanders is to clear their regions of illegal drugs by at least 50 percent in three months. It’s really hard but it must be achieved,” ayon sa isang opisyal ng PNP.

Ayon pa sa source, inilatag ni Dela Rosa ang kanyang kautusan sa isinagawang command conference sa PNP National Headquarters sa Camp Crame nitong Biyernes.

Mismong si Dela Rosa, aniya, ang nagbabala na hindi ito mag-aalinlangan na sibakin ang mga regional commander kung mabibigo ang mga ito na tumugon sa naturang direktiba.

Sinabi rin ng source na inatasan ni Dela Rosa ang PNP Directorate for Operation upang magtakda ng target para sa mga regional commander.

Inatasan din ng bagong PNP chief ang lahat ng 18 police regional commander na mahigpit na subaybayan ang performance ng kanilang provincial director, at city o municipal director kada linggo upang matiyak na ginagampanan ng mga ito ang kanilang trabaho.

“If they assess that their commanders could not accomplish the target, then they know what to do. This is a serious campaign and we have a target to accomplish, so everybody must do their part,” pahayag ni Dela Rosa.

“Otherwise, sad to say for the regional directors, if you fail to hit the target after three months, I will also relieve you. Because after the six months, I will be facing the President on this matter,” dagdag niya.
