Sa pagtatapos ng kanyang termino sa Hunyo 30, nais ni Senator Jinggoy Estrada na makabalik sa Senado sa huling pagkakataon.

Nagsumite ang mga abogado ni Estrada ng mosyon sa Sandiganbayan Fifth Division para humiling ng apat na araw na furlough, mula Mayo 30 hanggang Hunyo 2, simula 10:00 ng umaga hanggang 6:00 ng gabi, “for the purpose of winding up of his affairs at the Senate and to segregate and separate his office and personal equipment.”

“For the last session days of the Senate accused moves that he be allowed to go to the Senate during office hours to supervise and oversee the segregation of his personal and office equipment,” saad sa mosyon ng kampo ni Estrada.

Paliwanag pa ng mga abogado ng senador: “Upon segregation of the Senate office property and equipment the same needs to be properly turned over to the Senate custodian of property and equipment whilst his personal equipment, belongings, an documents need to be removed under the accused’s supervision.”
