Sinabi ng kampo ni vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo na ang system audit para sa mga resulta ng automated elections na hinihiling ni Senator Bongbong Marcos ay dapat isagawa pagkatapos iproklama ang mga nagwagi.
Ayon kay Georgina Hernandez, spokesperson ng Robredo campaign team, ang pagsasagawa ng audit sa panahon na hindi pa nagsisimula ang pagbibilang sa official canvassing para sa presidential at vice presidential candidates ay magpapaantala lamang sa proceedings.
“Congresswoman Leni Robredo herself said she is open to have an audit because she agrees that there should be transparency in the canvassing of votes,” sabi ni Hernandez.
“But we would like to emphasize that this (system audit) should not delay the process. Meaning, the system audit should be considered after the proclamation of winners,” dagdag niya.

Sisimulan ng Congress sa Mayo 25 ang canvassing of votes para sa president at vice president na magiging official count ng halalan.
Ipinaliwanag ni Hernandez na ang mamamayang Pilipino ang magdurusa kapag inantala ng mga election protest ang proklamasyon ng mga nagwagi.
Lumabas sa latest unofficial tally na nangunguna pa rin si Robredo sa 14,414,933 boto, lamang ng 262,643 boto kay Marcos. (Aaron B. Recuenco)
