Kasunod ng kontrobersiya sa pagpapalit ng script sa transparency server, naglabas ng “stay away order” ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) na nagbabawal sa mga opisyal at tauhan ng Smartmatic na magkaroon ng access sa Consolidation and Canvassing System (CCS) work station ng National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) nang walang permiso.

Ito ay hiniling ng NBOC sa pag-iisyu ng memorandum na pirmado ni Comelec Commissioner Christian Robert Lim, na tumatayong project director ng 2016 National and Local Elections (NLE).

Naka-address ito kay Elie Moreno, general manager ng Smartmatic Philippines at naka-attention kay Marlon Garcia, na project manager ng kumpanya at itinuturong “gumalaw” sa transparency server ng NBOC.

“Henceforth, access to the same shall be subject to strict protocols. Your personnel shall not be allowed access to the same unless with specific prior authority from the NBOC or the Project Monitoring Office. In any case, access to the same shall always be under the direct supervision of a duly designated Comelec personnel,” bahagi ng memorandum ni Lim.
