Kahit ang mismong publiko ay makapagsasagawa na ng sariling tally sa resulta ng botohan, kahit na nasa loob ng bahay.
Inilunsad kahapon ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang www.pilipinaselectionresults2016.com, na roon ipapaskil ang election results (ERs) ng botohan mula sa mahigit 90,000 polling precinct sa bansa.
“The ERs contain all the results from the president down to the last candidate. Which means, we can already total them even if we would not announce it,” sinabi ni Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez sa press briefing kahapon.
“Anyone with the calculator with a lot of time and so minded could actually do that (computation). That’s precisely the point of this website. It democratizes the count so anyone can (pretend the winners),” paliwanag niya.
Gayunman, hindi matutukoy sa website ang kabuuan ng bilang ng mga boto at ang ranking ng mga kandidato.
“There will be totals for the votes received for that particular precinct only but not for the whole thing,” ani Jimenez.
Ito, ayon kay Jimenez, ay upang maiwasan ang trending.
“The results will not be arriving simultaneously, then, all of a sudden, you’re showing a pronounced trend. That might be a problem. So what we have are the raw data only,” paliwanag niya.
Dagdag ni Jimenez, ang resulta ng botohan na nasa website ay hindi rin maaaring pagbasehan para magproklama ng nanalo, dahil kakailangan pa itong ma-canvass ng Board of Canvassers (BoCs).
Nang tanungin kung ligtas kaya sa hacking ang website, sinabi ni Jimenez: “It’s deployed in an isolated environment with very high security standard.”
Magiging available ang website pagkatapos ng botohan ngayong Lunes.
