Inakusahan ng vice presidential bet na si Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero ang admnistrasyon ng paggamit sa mga ari-arian ng gobyerno para mapalakas ang kandidatura ni Liberal Party standard bearer Mar Roxas at ng katambal nitong si Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo.
Aniya, isang patunay dito ang pagpayag ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) na ilagay sa mga opisyal na balota ang slogan ng administrasyon na “Daang Matuwid”.
Sinabi ni Escudero na hindi maitatangggi na ang nabanggit na phrase ay ginagamit sa mga proyekto ng gobyerno, kaya paano naman ito magiging alyas ni Robredo sa balota.
“This clearly shows that they are using and taking advantage of the programs and projects of the government that bear the Daang Matuwid slogan. They are unethically and illegally riding on these projects that are funded by public funds,” paliwanag ni Escudero.

Tinawanan din ni Escudero ang reklamo laban kay Partido Galing at Puso standard bearer Senator Grace Poe, na inireklamo ng senatorial bet na si Grecon Belgica dahil sa pamimili ng boto.
“If they want to have Senator Grace investigated, then they should ask the Comelec to do the same. It’s just funny—the timing and the attempt to drag Senator Grace into this,” ani Escudero. (Leonel Abasola)
