LONDON (AP) — Para matapos na ang agam-agam at malinis ang kanyang pangalan at reputasyon, sinulatan ni tennis icon Rafael Nadal ang pamunuan ng International Tennis Federation (ITF) at hiniling na isapubliko ang resulta ng mga drug test sa kanya.

"It can't be free anymore in our tennis world to speak and to accuse without evidence," pahayag ng 14-time Grand Slam champion.

Nakasaad sa sulat ni Nadal kay ITF president David Haggerty nitong Lunes (Martes sa Manila) na binibigyan niya ng karapatan ang asosasyon na ilabas ang blood at drug test sa kanya sa nakalipas na mga taon.

Nauna rito, nagsampa ng kasong kriminal si Nadal laban sa dating Sports Minister ng France bunsod ng pahayag nitong nagpositibo siya sa doping.

"I know how many times I am tested, on and off competition," pahayag ni Nadal sa kanyang liham. "Please make all my information public. Please make public my biological passport, my complete history of anti-doping controls and tests.

"From now on I ask you to communicate when I am tested and the results as soon as they are ready from your labs. I also encourage you to start filing lawsuits if there is any misinformation spread by anyone,” aniya.

Kinumpirma ng ITF na natanggap nila ang sulat ng 14-time major champion.

"The ITF can confirm that Mr. Nadal has never failed a test under the TADP and has not been suspended at any time for an anti-doping rule violation or for any other reason related to the TADP," pahayag ng ITF sa opisyal na ulat.

Ayon sa ITF, tulad ng iba pang player, makukuha ang ni Nadal ang kumpletong resulta ng kanyang anti-doping program sa World Anti-Doping Agency.

"The accuracy of any such release would be verified by the ITF," ayon sa federation.
